Decades of Pursuing Excellence in High-Purity Piping

Every minute, every day, GMP Piping meticulously ensures that your high- and ultra high-purity piping systems are fabricated and installed to perfection. Our management and key employees possess over 150 years of combined experience working in the high-purity fields of bio-pharma, chemical processing, water and wastewater, healthcare, industrial, semiconductor, process and medical gases, cryogenics, and cleanroom utilities.

Located a few miles off Route 495, GMP headquarters in Ayer, MA is home to a modern 14,000 square foot specialty fabrication shop for packaged and custom piping skid and R&D test units. The location is convenient to customers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

In 2018, GMP launched a new era in aspiring to excellence when long-time employees and managers Kate Belair, Joe Fortier, and Greg Sullivan purchased the company and expanded our operations.

Joe Fortier

Partner & Project Manager
Joe’s career is the epitome of progressing through the ranks by building practical experience leading to mastery and success. He started as a purchasing agent for an air compressor company, researching and placing orders for service staff. His next stop was the Rentec Corporation, where he graduated from doing small team projects to installing pipelines on his own, ultimately being responsible for leading multi-technician team projects. After being a lead field mechanic for ten years, eight of those at GMP Piping, he was promoted to project manager, providing quotations, interfacing with customers, and managing all facets of projects from launch to completion. When the former owner of GMP Piping announced his retirement, Joe became a partner in the company he contributed to building.

Greg Sullivan

Partner
Greg’s initial exposure to the industry started in the mid 1980’s and has culminated with his partnership in GMP. He started in the plumbing field with no knowledge of the high purity piping vocation he feels fortunate to be a part of today. Greg attributes his achievements to former colleagues and mentors who helped along the way and often finds himself reflecting back to lessons learned from three key people. Although some are competitors, he has admiration for all. Thank you John, Haywood, and Tim! While honoring his past and looking forward to future goals and aspirations, Greg intends to successfully shape GMP Piping with his partners, through service, loyalty, generosity, and commitment.
